Suspect Arrested In Ridley Township Slashing

RIDLEY TWP., Pa. (CBS) - Delaware County Police have arrested Jeffrey Waples, 26, for allegedly slashing a woman in the face with a box cutter.
Investigators say Waples slashed the 57-year-old victim twice across the face with a box cutter after she refused to give him a cigarette. He then ran away from the scene.
The woman was treated at a local hospital and later released.
He is being charged with Criminal Attempt Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Prohibited Offensive Weapon, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Stalking, and related offenses.
