PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Investigators say an unidentified pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Monday night in Port Richmond.

The accident happened shortly before 6:30 p.m. at the 3500 block of Aramingo Avenue.

Philadelphia Police say a man in his 50’s was struck by a female driving northbound on Aramingo Avenue.

Investigators say the driver stopped at the scene.

The victim was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The name of the victim has not been released.

The incident remains under investigation.
