Police In Delaware Cancel Amber Alert But Continue To Investigate
NEW CASTLE, Del. (CBS) – Police in Delaware have canceled an Amber Alert for a potential child abduction.
The alert was issued on Tuesday night after a witness in the area of Albion Drive and Elliot Street in the Whispering Pines community reported a possible child abduction (see previous story).
While police received no reports of missing children, they performed a sweep of the area and found nothing.
On Thursday afternoon around 2:45, New Castle County Detectives announced they were canceling the alert. Still, they say they are continuing to investigate the incident and urge anyone with information to call 302-395-8173.
