Philadelphia Is No Stranger To The Stars

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Between movie and television shoots and music concerts, celebrities are here all the time. And they love to go out to restaurants. So where do they go?
CBS 3 reporter Nicole Brewer takes us to the favorite spots of the rich and famous.

Bradley Cooper is a big star now, but he's a Philly guy at heart. And when he wants pizza, he heads to Slice on Sansom Street.

"His pizza is a Margherita, which has fresh mozzarella, fresh basil on it and he also puts prosciutto on it", says Slice owner Jason Dilks. "I just felt like I could have been friends with him, that's how friendly he was."

Cooper shot "Silver Linings Playbook" in Philly and had veal parmesan at D'Angelo's with Robert De Niro and the rest of the cast.

"They kept eating off of each other's plates, they were like a family, not just in the movie, but in real life," said Sal D'Angelo.

D'Angelo got a picture with Jennifer Lawrence to add to his wall of fame which includes actors Mark Wahlberg and Jack Nicholson.

Justin Bieber likes Italian food too. He's been to The Olive Garden on Broad Street.

"Usually, I know the restaurants, where they are," said celebrity photographer and columnist Hughe Dillon.

Dillon prides himself on being a nice paparazzi. He has shot lots of stars outside restaurants, like Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth as they were leaving The Capital Grille.

Actors Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman posed for Dillon at Tashan, the Indian restaurant on Broad Street.

"They were very, very nice," said Dillon.

Jamie Foxx tried to be incognito outside Parc on Rittenhouse Square. So did Reese Witherspoon. Dillon managed to get her as she was shooting a scene for the film "How Do You Know" but she avoided him outside Morimoto.

"Her friends come out to get into the SUV, I'm waiting for her," says Dillon. "Then a cab comes around the corner, she had gone through the kitchen called a cab to go around the block and then she slid into the car."

He had better luck with Gwen Stefani outside Morimoto. And Demi Moore was caught by his camera after visiting Tria.

Dillon snapped Paul Rudd as he has dined at Rouge.

"Really, for me it is about promoting Philadelphia and people want to know where these people are eating," said Dillon.

Ms. Tootsie's on South Street is one of singer Patti LaBelle's favorite restaurants.

"We know exactly what she loves, she loves catfish, she loves mac and cheese and she loves sautéed cabbage," says Keven Parker who owns Ms. Tootsie's.

Will Smith has been there too.

"He's a fried chicken guy," Parker says.

Fried chicken is great, but it's the chicken parmesan at Ralph's that impressed singer Taylor Swift. Swift went to the South Philly landmark this summer after a concert at Lincoln Financial Field. The restaurant stayed open late just for her.

"She ate a chicken parmesan and ate the whole thing and my chicken parmesans are massive, she had a good appetite," said Jimmy Rubino, the owner of Ralph's.

Swift tweeted a photo of herself with singers Ed Sheeran and Austin Mahone and then picked up the tab!

"The check was $843 and she left a $500 dollar tip on top of that -- very generous," said Rubino.

An extravagant tip that most of us, could "never ever" do.
