Jamaal Charles: 'Reid Probably Wishes He Was Still In Philadelphia'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Andy Reid was coach of the Philadelphia Eagles for a long time. His star player thinks he wishes he never left.

Jamaal Charles, the star running back of Reid's Kansas City Chiefs, says that he wants to win Thursday night's game with the Eagles for his coach.

"It means a lot, so I hope we go out there and play for our coach," Charles told ESPN on Sunday. "You know what I'm saying? I know he has a lot of love for his Eagles, he worked there a lot of years and he probably wishes he was still coaching there."

Reid was head coach of the Ealges for 13 years before being fired after a 2012 season that saw the team go 4-12. He was replaced by current head coach Chip Kelly.

Reid's Chiefs have won as many games after two weeks (2) that the team won all of last season. The Eagles enter the game 1-1.
