Flyers To Hold Training Camp in Lake Placid

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — The NHL's Philadelphia Flyers will spend part of their training camp in Lake Placid, site of the 1980 "Miracle on Ice" by the U.S. Olympic hockey team.

The Flyers will hold what they call their team bonding training camp at Herb Brooks Arena, named for the 1980 Olympic coach.

The camp isn't open to the public, but will be open to reporters who register with the state Olympic Regional Development Authority. ORDA manages the facilities used in two Olympics games.

The Flyers will practice in Lake Placid Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
