3 Seaside Park Police Officers Injured After Falling From Transport Truck

SEASIDE PARK, NJ (CBS) – Officials say three Seaside Park police officers were seriously hurt after falling off a transport truck.

The officers were relieved from duty at the site of the massive boardwalk fire (see related story) and were apparently sitting on the back of a truck when a bench gave way, causing them to fall into the road.

Two of the officers were medevaced and one was transported to a local hospital. The two male officers are recuperating, but the female officer suffered a concussion.
