Restaurant Fire Forces Evacuation Of Center City Office Building
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- A restaurant fire forced the evacuation of an office building in Center City Thursday morning.
The fire started at about 9:15 a.m. at the Cosi restaurant located at 4th and Chestnut Streets.
According to fire officials, the small fire started in the kitchen area of the restaurant. Firefighters arrived on scene and were able to quickly place the fire under control.
As a precaution, the office building above the restaurant was evacuated.
There were no reports of any injuries.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area as street detours were in effect.
The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
