PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – It may have taken five years, but Chase Utley has finally responded to Mac’s letter from ‘It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.’

Utley has never been known for his sense of humor, at least publicly, but he definitely shows a great one here.

Utley signed a contract extension with the Phillies that will likely keep him in Philadelphia for the remainder of his career.

Utley is hitting .268 this season for the Phillies, with an OPS of .812. He has 16 home runs and 52 RBIs in 109 games.

The knee and hip problems that have plagued Utley in the past haven’t shelved him yet this year. Utley’s one stint on the disabled list this season came from an oblique injury.
