Shots Fired In Hunting Park Home Invasion

By Al Novack

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - One man is in custody and another is still on the loose following a break-in and home invasion in Hunting Park early Friday morning.

This happened around 3:30 a.m. on the 3700 block of North 16th Street.

Police reportedly responded to a call and heard a fight in a bedroom when they arrived. When they went to investigate, they found two men allegedly pointing guns at them.

One suspect dropped his gun and jumped from a second floor window. The other suspect, who was struggling with the homeowner, also ran.

Police fired several shots, but neither suspect was wounded.

One suspect was captured a short time later along North Sydenham Street. The second suspect was able to escape.

The homeowner and police officers were not injured. Nothing was reportedly stolen.
