"The purpose of this is to provide information and resources to the people of Chester to empower them to make better decisions and to improve their lives," said Stoddart.

And there was a special treat for the kids too.

"Last year we gave away 350 book bags and had to turn away 200 people. This year, we have 540 book bags," said Stoddart.

But there was one main thing on the kids' minds.

"Having fun!" said one child.

The event offered food, games and tables for people to take different health screenings.
