Some Ursinus Wrestlers And Coaches Spend Time Overseas This Summer

By Matt Leon

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. (CBS) - It has been quite a summer for some Ursinus College coaches and wrestlers as they spent more than a week overseas.

Ursinus head coach Bill Racich was the head coach for the Division III International Cultural Exchange trip. He led a group that features college wrestlers from eight different schools, including Ursinus

Racich says they spent time in France and Turkey, but the bulk of the visit was focused on Bulgaria:

"We trained at all the Olympic training sites over in Bulgaria. They were just simply top-notch. Going around to different little towns and learning the culture. But just the balance of the culture, the history and the competition and the training, that's the reason we went."

The trip lasted a week-and-a-half, and in competition out on the trip the U.S. team went 2-2.
