Smoke Odor Diverts JetBlue Flight To Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A JetBlue flight on its way to Baltimore from Boston made an unscheduled landing in Philadelphia on Sunday.

According a statement from JetBlue, the flight, which had 95 passengers plus crew, was diverted to Philadelphia after the crew reported an odor of smoke in the cabin. The captain decided to err on the side of caution and land the plane before reaching Baltimore.

Flight 827 landed safely at Philadelphia International Airport at 5:53pm.

All passengers were evacuated from the plane safely, and were accommodated by a later JetBlue flight, the airline reported.
