Parents Of Newlyweds Killed In Car Accident Remember Their Children

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- There are no words to describe the pain two sets of parents are feeling.
It's been just a few days since they learned their son and daughter, Will Reid and Jamie Soukup Reid, were killed in a car accident while being driven to the airport in Asheville, North Carolina.
They were attending a wedding.
The couple -- both teachers in Philadelphia -- were married less than three months, and they were expecting their first child.
"Jamie and Will were the greatest young couple that I know. They were such fun, engaging, smart, giving people," said Ron Soukup, Jamie's father. "We really feel like we lost two children on Sunday, and we lost our first grandchild."
Ron and Kay Soukup flew from their home in Washington State Wednesday night to be with Will's parents.
They planned on heading to the couple's apartment on North Broad Street in Philadelphia.
Sitting together, the tears were mixed with warm memories as they recalled the happy moments this young couple shared, from their wedding to the day they found out a baby was on the way.
"You could just see the love between them," said Ron Soukup.
"You want your daughter to find the perfect husband. He was the perfect husband, he treated her like a princess," said Jamie's mother Kay Soukup.
Will and Jamie were both committed teachers here in Philadelphia.
Their parents describe them as selfless -- two bright and giving minds who chose to work in inner city schools.
"I want people to remember how they treated each other, and how they treated those around them," said Anne Reid. "They wanted to make a difference, they wanted to help others."
The couple's funeral will be Saturday at the Doyle-Devlin Funeral Home in Phillipsburg, New Jersey.
Their parents are asking for donations in lieu of flowers.
