Man Arrested In Northeast Philadelphia Double Homicide

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting that left two people dead earlier this week.

Around 1:38 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6th, officers responded to a call for a person with a gun on the 2800 block of 2865 Sebring Road in Northeast Philadelphia.

Upon arrival, police found 18-year-old Lauren Fenningham shot in the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Another person, 24-year-old Sean Neal, was suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen and later succumbed to his wounds at Aria Health's Torresdale Hospital.

Following an investigation, the suspect was identified as Darren Williams, a 24-year-old from the 800 block of Anchor Street.

Williams was arrested at his residence on Thursday night.

He is facing two counts of Murder, Possessing An Instrument of Crime, VUFA-Former Convict, VUFA-No License and VUFA-On Streets.
