PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Graphically, they write it "N3RD Street Market," but its organizers have taken to calling it "Nerd Street." Market founder Ahava Zarembski (top photo) says the name evolved along with the neighborhood.
"N3RD Street, or North 3rd in Old City, has become a hub for all of these tech businesses and artists," she explains.
And since Zarembski wants to make sure there are no starving artists in Old City, she and her colleagues are holding a farmers' market every Tuesday until Thanksgiving, 2pm-7pm, in the cobblestone alley (Church Street) in front of Christ Church.
What was selling this week?
"Vegetables, grass-fed beef, fresh eggs, local bakeries, and artisan ice cream," Zarembski tells What's Cooking.

Over in University City, restaurant-bar "Doc Magrogan's" is hosting an event on Saturday, August 10th, to benefit the charity "Wounded Warriors." General manager Dan Morris says it's called "Lobsterfest," and it'll be huge.
"We're gonna have probably about 400 in attendance," Morris says. "Fifteen to 20 different craft beers. We're looking to bring in about 400 lobsters that day, lobster risotto balls, surf and turf with it. It should be just an excellent event."

And Diana Minkus of The Food Trust says the third "Night Market" of the 2013 season happens on Thursday, August 15th. This time, they're taking over South Street.
"There are going to be new vendors that we haven't worked with in the past," Minkus (below) says. "There's gonna be old favorites, and there are also going to be a lot of South Street staples like Brauhaus Schmitz and Xochitl."
