Philadelphia Eatery Makes List Of '50 Best New Restaurants' In The U.S.
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A Philadelphia restaurant has made Bon Appetit's annual list of the 50 best new restaurants in the country.
Vernick Food & Drink, at 23rd & Walnut, is the only Philly spot in the roundup. Bon Appetit's editors cite the restaurant's unique cocktails and two favorite menu items, including the Maryland crab and jalapeno on toast.
Last year, Alla Spina, on N Broad Street, and Collingswood, NJ's Zeppoli were among the 50 nominees.
The restaurants on the initial Bon Appetit list are then narrowed down into a final ten list of the Best New Restaurants in America, to be released later this month.
