Human Remains Found On Ocean City, NJ Beach
OCEAN CITY, NJ (CBS) – Police are reaching out to the public for help after human remains were found on the beach in Ocean City.
Around 1 p.m. on Tuesday, a man fishing on the beach at Corson's Inlet State Park discovered a sneaker with skeletal remains inside of it.
The Southern Regional Medical Examiner's Office says the remains are a right foot inside a black Adidas ADI Rise 2 high-top sneaker, size 5-and-a-half. The gender and age are unknown.
Officials say the remains will be sent to the State Anthropologist for DNA testing, but anyone with information is asked to call the New Jersey State Police Major Crime Unit at (609)561-1800 ext. 3355.
