UPDATE: 2 Adults, 12 Children Injured After Passenger Van Overturns On I-295

BURLINGTON Twp., N.J., (CBS) - Police say two adults and 12 children were injured after a passenger van overturned on I-295 Monday.

The incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. on I-295 northbound near mile marker 47 in Burlington Township.

Chopper 3 HD was over the scene as multiple rescue units responded to the accident.

New Jersey State Police say a passenger van with 15 people inside lost control and turned into the center median.

State Police say two adults and 12 children suffered minor injuries.  They were all taken to Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly.

State Police say the van is owned by the city of Trenton's Department of Recreation and was driving to Trenton when the accident happened.

The incident remains under investigation.
