Police Investigate Cemetery Thefts In Egg Harbor Township

EGG HARBOR Twp., N.J., (CBS) - Police are investigating after 20 bronze vases were reported stolen from a cemetery in Egg Harbor Township.

Egg Harbor Township Police say the theft occurred at the Laurel Memorial Cemetery located on English Creek Avenue, in the Farmington section.

According to authorities, 20 bronze vases were stolen from the burial grounds sometime between 9 p.m. Monday night and 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Police say they are still investigating the February theft of 16 brass vent grates stolen from the mausoleum and other thefts of vases that occurred in June and August of 2012.

The incidents are currently under investigation.
