Police Identify Man Killed In 2-Vehicle Crash

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — Delaware State police have identified a Maryland man who was killed when his truck overturned and rolled down an embankment on Interstate 495.

Troopers say Friday that 51-year-old Allan Cunha of Elkton, Md., was killed in Wednesday's crash in Wilmington.

Troopers say 22-year-old Maurice Dawkins of Townsend was driving south on I-495. Police say when Dawkins' car changed lanes, the rear of his vehicle hit the front of a truck.

The collision caused both vehicles to leave the road and go down an embankment. The truck overturned and hit a tree. Police say Dawkins' car stayed upright.

Cunha was pronounced dead at the scene. Dawkins and a passenger were not hurt.

The accident is under investigation.
