Woman, Teen Injured In Broad Daylight Shooting In Philadelphia


PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are investigating a broad daylight shooting that injured two people, including one teen.

The incident occurred just before 12:50 p.m. in the 3200 block of E Street near East Allegheny Avenue.

According to authorities, a 35-year-old woman was shot through the right thigh and out of the buttocks and an unknown 15-year-old boy was shot in the right ankle.

The woman was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition. The teen was taken to St. Christopher's Children Hospital in stable condition.

Police say the suspect, a 35-year-old black male, fled the scene and no weapon was recovered.

The incident is being investigated.
