And The Odds Are... People Can Bet On Royal Baby Names

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Anyone who has a child, knows that family and friends are more than willing to weigh-in on baby names. Imagine having the whole world give their opinion. And then imagine that people are actually gambling on the name.

Sounds even more exhausting than a newborn usually is.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have yet to name their new baby boy, but the odds on what that name will be, have been established.

Paddy Power, an online gambling site, has a full page of odds for potential baby names. The favorite is George at 5/2, followed by James at 5/1. Alexander at 7/1, Louis, and Arthur, both at 10/1, round out the top five. Some interesting longshots are Kong, Elvis and Titus at 500/1. All in all, Paddy Power has 150 names that you can wager on. They do offer a refund if the baby is given the same name as you.

There are no odds for the baby's middle names, as he will likely have up to three. One would imagine if you're going to play "Kong" as a first name, betting "King" as a middle name would be a smart wager.
