Gov. Christie Raises $2.2M For Re-election In June

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Gov. Chris Christie's re-election campaign raised $2.2 million between the June 4 primary and June 30.

The report from the Republican was made public Monday by the state Election Law Enforcement Commission.

His Democratic challenger, state Sen. Barbara Buono, has not made a fundraising report for the period.

Since Buono is accepting public matching funds, she is not required to report on her fundraising for now. Christie has until next month to decide whether to accept matching money for the general election.

For the primary, Buono raised $1.1 and received $1.8 million in public matching funds. Christie raised $6.9 million.

Christie leaves Tuesday for a fund-raising trip to San Francisco. He will then attend the Republican Governors Association meeting in Colorado before stopping in Pittsburgh on Friday for more fund-raising.
