SUV Plows Into Crowd Outside Northeast Philadelphia Night Club, 8 Injured


PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Eight people were injured after police say a car plowed into a crowd outside of a Northeast Philadelphia club overnight.

It happened around 3 a.m. outside of "Studio 98" in the 9800 block of Bustleton Avenue.

Police say the incident started with a fight that spilled outside into the parking lot of the night club.

Witnesses told Eyewitness News the incident began between two woman fighting over a man.

Authorities say a man and woman got into a silver Jeep Cherokee and drove through a crowd, injuring 8 people, before driving away.

Four of the victims were transported to Frankford-Torresdale Hospital. Two of those victims were listed in critical condition. The other two were listed as stable.

The other four victims were taken to Nazareth Hospital where all are listed in stable condition.

Police continue to search for the vehicle and the suspects involved.
