PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Despite the sweltering heat, a crowd gathered to help one of the Philadelphia Zoo’s animals celebrate her birthday on Thursday.

Abigail, the zoo’s young female giraffe, turned three on July 18th with a birthday party alongside her mom, Stella, and dad, Gus, inside the African Plains Exhibit.

And no good party would be complete without a “cake” – in this case, an ice cream treat made in a bundt pan – and birthday presents, or a lively rendition of “Happy Birthday” sung by the participants in the Zoo’s Wildlife Warrior Summer Camp.
