Violent Night In Philadelphia Leaves 1 Dead, 3 Injured

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) –Philadelphia Police are investigating three shootings Monday night, leaving one person dead and three others injured.

The violence started at about 5:30 p.m. at the 2000 block of N. Lambert Street.

Chopper 3 HD was over the scene as police responded.

According to Philadelphia Police, a man in his 30s was shot twice in the chest.  He was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.

There are no arrests at this time. A weapon has not been recovered.

There is no word on a suspect or a motive.

Police are also investigating a shooting in the Cedarbrook section.

The incident happened at about 9:15 p.m. at Michener Avenue & E. Vernon Road.

Officials say two victims were taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center.  There is no word on their conditions at this time.

A shooting was also reported at about 9:30 p.m. at N. 23rd Street and W. Jefferson Street in Brewerytown.

Officials say one person was rushed to Hahnemann University Hospital.  There is no word on the victim's condition.

Police are investigating.
