Rutgers-Camden, Camden County College Expand Partnership For More 4-Year Degrees

By David Madden

CAMDEN, N.J. (CBS) - Rutgers-Camden is expanding its partnership with Camden County College to offer four-year degrees at the county college facility in Blackwood.

Students have been able to obtain a Bachelors degree in Liberal Studies with two years at the county college, paired with two years of Rutgers courses offered in Blackwood.

However, this fall, the same option will be available for psychology and business students.

"Typically, you don't see a community college where you have four year degree programs in the past. And now that's something that's coming to be more the norm than anything else," says Camden County Freeholder Ian Leonard.

It'll also allow those business administration majors to accelerate their work enough to complete the program in just three years, if they can pull that off.

But convenience will not reduce your costs. Once a student gets that associates degree from the county college, they'll pay Rutgers-level tuition for the higher level courses.
