RADNOR TWP., Pa. (CBS) – Rush hour traffic was snarled Thursday evening due to a multi-vehicle crash on I-476 in Delaware County.

The accident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. on the southbound lanes of I-476 at US 30 in Radnor Township.

Both the southbound and northbound lanes were closed due to the crash, however both have since reopened.

Chopper 3 HD was over the scene where a medical helicopter had to land on the highway.

Officials are urging people to stay away from the area if possible and to expect major traffic delays.
