PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Amid speculation of fiscal trouble and rifts among the leadership at Girl Scouts of America national headquarters in New York - as detailed in published reports - local Girl Scout officials want you to know all is well fiscally in the Delaware Valley as thousands of Girl Scouts take off for camp!

Chief Executive Officer for the Girl Scouts of Pennsylvania Natalye Paquin says the Girl Scouts are in good shape locally.

"We are a strong organization and it is due in large part to our membership. We serve girls across nine counties and we also have an incredibly engaged volunteer base," she explains.

Paquin says there is no danger of local girl scouts missing the tradition of camp if they want to attend.

"We expect to serve almost 4,000 girls at our camps this summer. And, in fact, we still have scholarship money available. So I would encourage girls to go to our website at www.gsep.org," she says.
