VIDEO: Man Struck With Bat Outside Hunting Park Dunkin' Donuts

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are searching for a suspect who was caught on tape attacking a man with a baseball bat in the drive-thru lane of a donut shop.

The incident happened at about 1 a.m. on July 1st at the Dunkin' Donuts located in the 300 block of E. Erie Avenue in the city's Hunting Park section.

The incident began when a 20-year-old male was involved in an argument with his friend near the pick-up window in the drive-thru lane.

Moments later, surveillance video captured the suspect pulling into the drive-thru lane and exiting his car. With the victim's back towards him, the suspect ran up from behind and struck the victim in the back of his head with a baseball bat.

The suspect then jumped back into his car and drove off. It was not immediately known what prompted the violent attack.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male who was wearing a white tank top and dark-colored shorts.

Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to call 911.
