BREAKING: Body Found In Pennypack Creek

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Officials say a body has been found in the Pennypack Creek not far from where 13-year-old Brandon Boyle went missing Monday.

Crews are at the scene near Holme Avenue, where the body of a male was discovered by a passerby on Thursday morning.

Boyle was reportedly swimming in the creek with his brother on Monday when he was swept away. His 11-year-old brother was rescued from the creek shortly thereafter.

At this point, officials remain unsure whether the body is Boyle's. An investigation is underway.

According to the Pray For Brandon Facebook Page, family and friends of Brandon will hold a vigil at the Rhawn Street entrance of Pennypack Park at 8 p.m. Thursday.
