Bomb Squad Determines Grenade Found In Camden Was Not Operational
CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) — A bomb squad has determined a grenade found in a donation box at a Camden charity was not operational.
The Camden County Police Department says the grenade was reported Tuesday afternoon at the Camden Rescue Mission.
The mission was evacuated and an area of South Broadway was closed whole the device was removed by a bomb squad. The building and street later reopened.
A sheriff's office bomb squad found said Wednesday that it was a practice grenade with no gun powder or detonator.
