McNabb's Nephew On Flyer's Radar

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - With the NHL Draft just hours away, the Philadelphia Flyers search for a new goalie continues. But there is another player attracting their attention.

Darnell Nurse is an 18-year-old draft project who modeled his game after Flyer's Defenseman Chris Pronger.

Nurse is the nephew of former Philadelphia Eagles' quarterback Donovan NcNabb. His father played football in Canada.

Flyers General Manager Paul Holmgren says he is impressed:

"He's probably like 6'4, I would venture to guess he weighs about 210 pounds. He's going to fill out. When you watch him play, he's still a lot of elbows and knees, but he's a rugged player that can fight pretty good with a puck and he continues to get better. I have no idea if he'll be there at our pick."

The Flyers have the 11th pick in the first round.
