No Injuries Reported Following Fire At Senior Living Facility In Central Pa.

CLEARFIELD, Pa. (AP) — Authorities in central Pennsylvania say no injuries were reported after a fire at a senior living facility in Clearfield.

Emergency dispatchers said the blaze at the Colonial Courtyard was reported at about 7:20 p.m. Tuesday.

Dispatchers said about 20 fire companies were called to the scene and about 60 people were evacuated from the facility.

Tammy Miller of State College, an instructor with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, told the Centre Daily Times that she was teaching a class next door when the fire broke out. She said many of her two dozen students ran over and helped evacuate residents, in some cases carrying people to safety.

The American Red Cross reports assisting about 200 emergency responders at the scene.
