Microsoft Offering Specially Tailored Bing To Schools

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – According to CNET, Microsoft is creating a special edition of Bing specifically for grade-school students.

The new version will filter adult content, remove ads, beef up privacy protection and add learning features, Microsoft says on the Bing for Schools website.

CNET says this version is free and requires no special software or unique web address.

Bing for Schools will include short lesson plans to encourage students to find answers using Bing and will offer hot spots to assist them with investigating new topics, says CNET.
