Reward Offered For Tip Leading to Germantown Serial Rape Suspect

By Mark Abrams

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A reward has been posted for information leading to the arrest of the alleged serial rapist whom police believe is responsible for recent attacks on young women in the Germantown section of the city.

The Citizens Crime Commission has put up the $2,500 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect in the attacks, which occurred during the past three months.

You can contact the commission at 215-546-TIPS with your information.  You may keep your identity confidential.

Police are circulating a video of the suspected rapist. That video shows a man on a bicycle on May 19th on Wister Street.

Police believe he is responsible for gunpoint assaults on four young women -- a 15-year-old, two 17-year-olds, and a 12-year old who was abducted at 7:30am while waiting for a school bus (see related story and video).

Police say the assaults began in March and the last occurred on May 19th.
