Old City Fashionistas Driving Trends With New Fashion Truck

By Michelle Durham

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Two local women who opened a successful clothing store on Market Street in Old City are expanding in a unique way. They're bringing the store to their customers.

Abby Kessler and Katie Lubieski met in the halls of North Penn High School and went to Drexel together. Now, Kessler says they've decided on their next fashion-forward move.

"We are starting a Philadelphia fashion truck."

Weekdays the truck will be parked on 40th Street between Spruce and Locust Streets.

Lubieski says this is no ordinary truck, "We are going to have hardwood floors, dressing rooms, track lighting -- everything you can imagine. We are going to have big French doors on the outside."

Reporter: "And it stays there and it doesn't move from place to place?"

Lubieski: "We are going to move it everywhere! We are going to go everywhere our customers are."

Both Kessler and Lubieski say a full complement of clothing and accessories will be onboard for you to choose from. You can track the truck's whereabouts on Twitter. For more information about Smak Parlour, go to SmakParlour.com.
