New List Ranks Downingtown Brewing Company's Beer No. 1 Summer Brew
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – With the summer beer season upon us, a Downingtown brewing company's beer has been ranked the No. 1 summer brew.
In a new list from PasteMagazine, Victory Summer Love, a blonde ale by Victory Brewing Company, took the top spot.
According to the magazine, the results were determined by evaluating 16 summer beers from across the country and ranking them by style and taste.
PasteMagazine says, "Summer Love is like July in a bottle."
Bell's Oberon, a wheat ale by Bells Brewery, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, ranked second place. New Holland White Hatter, a Belgian white ale by the New Holland Brewing Company, of Holland, Mich., took the third spot.
