Police Confiscate Multiple Weapons From Somers Point Man Charged With DWI
EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBS) – Police have arrested a South Jersey man for possessing multiple assault weapons.
On Monday, May 20th around 9:51 p.m., Egg Harbor Township police responded to Fork Road off Delilah Road in reference to a suspicious vehicle.
An officer made contact with the vehicle and its driver, 43-year-old Sandino Hernandez, who was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
The suspect's vehicle was towed to the station for further investigation, where police discovered an assault rifle, handguns, a high capacity magazine and hollow-point bullets.
Hernandez was charged with the possession of an assault rifle, possession of a high capacity magazine, possession of hollow point ammunition, DWI and reckless driving.
