Cole Adjusting To New Eagles Defense

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - When the Philadelphia Eagles hired Chip Kelly to be their new head coach earlier this year, it was apparent things were going to be different.

One of the biggest changes will be on the defensive side of the ball as players must adjust to Kelly's 3-4 defense. It will be a complete overhaul of what the Eagles did last year on defense

Trent Cole is one of the veterans who survived the changes and now has some adjustments to make, which he says he can handle.

"In the past I've dropped in coverage and I think I've done a well job with the coverage," Cole said. "I'm embracing it and I'm just enjoying it here. It's just a new season, you know, it's a new Philadelphia Eagles."

Cole has played his entire eight year career as a rush end but now is being asked to play outside linebacker.
