Child Struck By Car Waiting For Bus In Burlington County

BROWNS MILLS, N.J. (CBS) – A child was taken to the hospital after being struck by a car while waiting for a bus in Burlington County Thursday morning.

The accident happened at about 7 a.m. near the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and Castro Street in Browns Mills, New Jersey.

According to investigators, the child was waiting for a bus when he or she was struck by a car.

The driver of the striking car stopped at the scene and called police and assisted the young child.

The child, whose name and age have not been released, was taken to the hospital for treatment of what appears to be non-life threatening injuries.

No charges were immediately filed.

The incident remains under police investigation.
