Blog: CLARIFI Hosts FREE Women & Finance Event

By Jim Donovan:  On average, women will be on their own financially for one third of their adult lives.  Are you ready?  Well the amazing folks at Clarifi, our region's leading non-profit credit counseling organization, want to be sure that you're prepared and are heading down the right track. 

Join Clarifi and FinanciallyHers® for a special event, Financially Single & Thriving, on Saturday, May 18th from 9:15am – 12:00pm at the United Way Building in Center City (1709 Ben Franklin Parkway) Philadelphia . 

The event will show attendees how to manage their finances at any stage of life, whether they are in a relationship, single or in transition.

Speakers will include:

Tiffany W. Thurman, FinanciallyHers Program Manager, Clarifi

Sheila Brennan, Divorce Coach

Stephanie W. McCullough, Financial Advisor, Sofia Financial

and Judith Drasin, Esq., Associate Counsel, Lipsky and Brandt.

Guest speakers will share their expertise on the following topics:

• Developing realistic goals and expectations during a transition process

• Protecting yourself financially

• Knowing when you need an attorney

Attendees can register at clarifi.org or by calling 800-989-2227. Attendance is free; seating is limited.  A continental breakfast will also be available at 8:45am.
