Gloucester County Man Convicted Of Repeated Sexual Assault Of 11-Year-Old

WILLIAMSTOWN, NJ (CBS) – A Gloucester County man has been convicted of sexually assaulting his girlfriend's 11-year-old daughter.

Authorities say Carl J. Garrison, formerly of Williamstown, repeatedly abused the girl during the summer of 2010 inside a Monroe Township trailer home and during a two-week stay in Alabama.

The girl testified that Garrison had performed sexual acts on her and said that her mother was asleep at the time.

The victim's younger sister testified that she had also witnessed one incident.

Garrison, who denied the allegations and then stated in a video-taped interview that the girl was sexually aggressive with him, is currently serving a five-year prison sentence for aggravated assault and unlawful weapon possession convictions in May 2012. He is charged with six counts of sexual assault and aggravated sexual assault.
