Multiple People Seriously Injured In Head-On Collision In Bucks County


SOLEBURY, Pa. (CBS) – Officials are on the scene of a serious head-on collision in Bucks County.

The incident occurred around 1:50 p.m. Thursday afternoon in the 3000 block of Windy Bush Road (Rt. 232) near Pidcock Creek in Solebury.

Police say the driver of the Ford pickup truck was traveling northbound when he lost control of the vehicle, crossed into the southbound lanes and hit a Volkswagen Jetta head-on.

The driver of the pickup was airlifted to St. Mary Medical Center in critical condition. A passenger in the pickup and the driver of the Jetta were also taken to St. Mary Medical Center. The passenger has been listed as critical and the operator of the Jetta has been listed as stable.

Authorities say one vehicle was on fire for a brief time.

Rt. 232 was closed for several hours as first responders rescued occupants from the vehicles.
