PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – America’s public high schools have been ranked and some local schools have made the list.

Newsweek’s annual ranking of the best high schools in America has been released and among the list of the top 2,000 schools are some located right in our area.

Philadelphia’s Julia R. Masterman Laboratory and Demonstration School took the 56 spot, Conestoga High School in Berwyn, Pa. came in at 124, the 343rd spot wen to Marlboro High School and Cherry Hill East High School took 354, just to name a few.

The schools are rated on their graduation rate, percentage of graduates accepted to college, the average SAT/ACT score and of graduates and AP/IB/AICE enrollment, number of tests and scores.
