UPDATE: Victim Of Deadly Shooting After Basketball Game In Darby ID'd

By Al Novack

DARBY (CBS) -- An armed robbery following a basketball game turned deadly Sunday night in Darby Borough.

Police in Darby continue to investigate the Sunday night murder near Cedar Avenue.

The shooting took place around 10 p.m., not long after a neighborhood basketball game.

An 18-year-old man later identified as Brian Christopher Brunston was walking home with some friends. Witnesses say a gunman walked up to them and tried to rob them.

The young men fled in different directions, but the 18-year-old was shot at least once in the left side and collapsed in the doorway of a home in the 400-block of Coventry Avenue.

At last word, police had not charged anyone, but the suspect is described as a man wearing a gray hoodie. Surveillance video is being looked at for more clues about the suspect's identity.

The victim was taken in critical condition to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he later died.
