Soda Bottle With Tape Prompts Scare At South Jersey Hospital

VOORHEES, N.J. (CBS) -- A soda bottle wrapped up in electrical tape prompted a scare Sunday afternoon at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees, New Jersey.

The incident happened around 4 p.m. when someone found the tape covered soda bottle and thought it looked suspicious.

Authorities were notified and the bottle was destroyed. It turned out to be a false alarm.

Officials say the hospital was not evacuated, but no one was allowed to go in or out for several hours while law enforcement searched for anything else in the area that would be reason for concern.

Nothing else was found. The hospital was deemed safe and is operating normally.
