Search Continues For Suspects In Deadly Drive-By Shooting In Chester

CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) -- Chester police are still looking for suspects, and a motive, in a drive-by shooting that left a teenager dead and three others wounded.

The incident happened around 5:45 p.m. Saturday along the 1100 block of Upland Street.

Four people were shot when gunmen opened fire from inside a vehicle as they drove past the group.

17-year-old Jesse D. Burton Jr. was shot in the head and later died at Chester Crozer Medical Center.

"He had things going for himself," said Burton's aunt, Robin. "He had a job, he had a car, he was really headed in the right direction."

Three others were wounded by the gunfire. A 16-year-old boy was shot in both legs, an 18-year-old man was shot in his right leg and a 40-year-old man was shot in the chest.

Authorities say it's not clear how many shooters were involved. They're looking for a dark burgundy or maroon SUV, possibly a Ford, and are asking for anyone with information to contact police.
