Detectives Investigate Sex Assault In Laurel, Del.

LAUREL, Del., (CBS) – State Police Detectives are investigating a sexual assault in Laurel, Delaware.

The incident happened early Thursday morning between 12:00 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on County Seat Highway.

The female victim told state police she was struck by a vehicle.  The driver then returned to the scene and forcibly placed her into his car.  Police say the suspect then drove her to an undisclosed location in Laurel where she was physically and sexually assaulted.

The victim says she was driven back to the area of her house where she was freed.

She was later taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a black male, average in statue, clean shaven, and wearing eyeglasses.  The suspect's vehicle is described as a silver four door passenger vehicle with a white license plate out of an unknown state.
